FAQs

What are trauma-informed practices, and how can they benefit our organization?

Trauma-informed practices are approaches that recognize the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and aim to create environments of safety, trust, and support. These practices focus on understanding the signs and symptoms of trauma and incorporating this awareness into policies, procedures, and interactions with clients or patients.

By adopting trauma-informed practices, your organization can enhance quality of care, improve outcomes, and foster a more supportive and compassionate environment for both staff and clients. Ultimately, these practices lead to more effective and empathetic service delivery, benefiting both your patients and the overall functioning of your organization.

Can you help us implement trauma-informed practices into our current system and policies?

Yes. We understand the unique challenges that healthcare systems can face and are dedicated to helping organizations integrate trauma-informed practices into existing structures. We work best with teams who are open to making thoughtful, manageable adjustments to policies and procedures that can lead to meaningful improvements for both staff and clients/patients. Our goal is to support you in creating a compassionate, supportive environment that fosters healing and growth for everyone involved.

How can my agency benefit from the development of specialized tracks?

Specialized tracks enable your agency to customize services to meet the specific needs of your client population. This approach enhances the depth and relevance of care provided, ensuring that services align directly with clients' treatment plans. Tracks improve client outcomes and foster greater staff engagement while expanding access to effective treatment approaches in your community.

How long do your training sessions typically last?

The length of each training session is customized to fit the unique needs of your office, agency, or program. We’ll work with you to determine the best duration that ensures a meaningful and engaging learning experience for your team.

Do you provide ongoing support after trainings are completed?

Yes, we’re happy to provide ongoing support to ensure that the skills learned are effectively generalized. This support is available on an as-needed basis and is offered for an additional cost, which will be clearly outlined in your individualized proposal. We’re here to help your team every step of the way to ensure lasting success and continued growth.

How do you tailor your training for different organizational settings (e.g., private practices vs. larger agencies)?

We understand that each organization is unique, which is why we customize our training to fit the specific needs and structure of your setting. For private practices, we focus on practical, hands-on strategies that can be implemented by smaller teams, while for larger agencies, we offer scalable solutions that address broader organizational needs and team dynamics. Whether you are a small practice or a large agency, we work closely with you to ensure the training aligns with your goals, resources, and the specific challenges you face.

Do you offer consulting services to existing programs or tracks?

Yes, we can consult to your agency’s pre-existing program or track. We provide feedback, identify areas where additional training may be beneficial, and offer suggestions to enhance program effectiveness. Our goal is to help strengthen your program and ensure that your services align with best practices for your specific client population. We also provide support to already established DBT consultation teams in areas such as team cohesion, logistics, or conflict resolution.
